Planning Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting (PMER) and Information Management (IM) Senior Officer

(Empleo)

Job Purpose

The PMER-IM Senior officer’s overall task is to support operational monitoring, reporting and information management, particularly to ensure quality and timely delivery of the projects developed and operations coordinated by the CCST(pledge-based reports, information bulletins, operations updates); in compliance with the International Federation and donor requirements in the three countries.

The PMER-IM Senior Officer will also ensure and support capacity development to be able to integrate into the Host National Society’s PMER structure

Position Requirements

Education

  • University degree in economic, social sciences, humanities, journalism or equivalent qualification (applied economy, statistics, etc.)

Experience

  • 3+ years reporting experience
  • 3+ years project monitoring experience
  • 3+ years project planning experience
  • 3+ year(s) experience with graphic design and data visualization with the ability to translate complex digital information into clear and attractive graphic representations
  • 1+ year(s) experience with GIS tools and ability to produce basic maps in order to visualise geographic information
  • 1+ year(s) experience with Mobile Data Collection tools (KOBO and/or ODK).
  • 2- years experience in complex settings
  • Acquainted with International Federation policies, procedures, system
  • Strong computer literacy skills with moderate to advanced skills in spreadsheet tools
  • Familiarity with current IFRC standards and guidelines – PREFERRED
  • Work experience at international and/or national level and/or volunteer experience in the RC/RC – PREFERRED
  • Strong background in data and information management and informatics – PREFERRED

Knowledge, Skills and Languages

  • Able to represent the organisation at international level
  • Excellent writing skills in Spanish and English
  • Good analytical skills and solution-focused person
  • Demonstrable accountability
  • Ability to work well in a multicultural team
  • Excellent stress management skills
  • Self-supporting in computers (Windows, spread sheets, word-processing, email, etc.)
  • Readiness to learn and increase knowledge

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize, order, process and prioritize large amounts of information
  • Ability to take initiative to create new processes from scratch and act to fill identified gaps
  • Skills in database management and data analysis
  • Ability to use basic audio-visual equipment and software

Languages

  • Fluently spoken and written English and Spanish
  • Good command of another IFRC official language (French) or a language relevant in the region or country of assignment (i.e., Creole) – PREFERRED
