JOB OVERVIEW

Manage the education program of the project showing the theory of change of the program, the key operational requirements (such as project models, standard indicators, national and local partners, intervention platforms, programmatic integration, interdependence with other approaches linked to advocacy and public policies) as well as ways to generate and share learning. He is responsible for demonstrating the contribution of the education program to the strategic priority while supporting regional and local program staff in their work to implement the Project

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Lead the national implementation of the Project including:

– The programmatic quality in order to fulfill the goal of the PT Education.

– Management of national or local relationships (when necessary) with sectoral partners and government ministries.

– Management of national activities of the Project.

– Support relevant PA staff to implement the project activities within their Program Area.

▪ Accountability of the progress and results linked to the project, taking into account the progress and results of the Project to USAID.

▪ Operationalize the mainstreaming of incidence in public policies at the national level in the set of actions of the project. Support and actively participate in the coordination to implement actions and other special initiatives (including their contextualization, design, financing, implementation, and evaluation) linked to the project.

▪ Matrixly other education actions, in order to advise and accompany the programmatic implementation.

EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Education
University Graduate in Education, Philosophy, Pedagogy, Psychology, Social Sciences.
Master’s degree in psychopedagogy, early childhood, public policies in education or others related to the position.

Knowledge and Skills
Familiarity with USAID programs, their history and their development; mastery of USAID regulations governing such programs.
Demonstrated outstanding leadership, effective organizational development, partnership building, managerial, team building, and communications skills.
Proven ability to coordinate with other key stakeholders such as governmental and non-governmental organizations in Dominican Republic.
Strong presentation and report writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in team.

Experiences:
Minimum five (5) years of experience in the humanitarian sector, NGOs, educational projects or government.
Demonstrated knowledge of the regional and national context; including broad management of Ministerial policies and programs
Experience in relations with key actors of the system (Ministry, civil society, NGOs and other institutions)
Having worked or conducted social research related to the educational sector.
Fluent in English
CONDITIONS
Due to its nature and characteristics, this position implies traveling on trips to the interior and exterior of the country, occupied in the following way:
• 70% office work.
• 30% field work.
Salary
Less than 200 Dominican pesos.
